10 EASY STEPS TO OWNING A KEIM CORP HOME

 

STEP 1 – LOT DEPOSIT

A fully refundable deposit will hold the site of your choice for up to 15 days while design and pricing is being finalized.

 

STEP 2 – CONTRACT

Once pricing and design changes have been finalized, the formal purchase documents will be drawn up. At the time of contract signing, a total of 10% of the purchase price of your home is required as earnest money.

 

STEP 3 – YOUR FINANCING COMMITMENT

At KEIM CORP, WE CARRY THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION – so all you need to do is apply for a conventional mortgage that will be funded at closing. After your contract is finalized, you may work with a lender of your choice or we can recommend a lender to secure a financing commitment.

 

STEP 4 – BLUEPRINTS

While you are obtaining your financing commitment, we will be preparing your blueprints reflecting the design modifications that are noted in your contract.

 

STEP 5 – SELECTIONS

Prior to the start of construction you will need to make your decision regarding colors, cabinetry, lighting, carpeting, tile, etc. We will help guide you during this process.

 

STEP 6 – PERMIT

Once your financing commitment has been secured and your blueprints are approved, we will submit the plans to the appropriate building department for a permit to build your new home.

 

STEP 7 – CONSTRUCTION

Construction can begin as soon as the building permit is issued. At this point, you can figure approximately 180 days of actual construction time. You can sit back and relax. We will invite you in on several occasions to view the construction progress with a Keim Corp representative.

 

STEP 8 – QUESTIONS

Should you have any questions during the construction process, you are welcome to stop by the Model Home or call us at 630.232.1400. Our Sunset Prairie Model is open M – F 9:00 to 5:00.

 

STEP 9 – FINAL INSPECTION AND NEW HOME ORIENTATION

Upon the completion of your home, you will make a final inspection and be given a new home orientation of your property with a KEIM CORP representative.

 

STEP 10 – CLOSING

CONGRATULATIONS! Upon closing at Chicago Title Insurance Company, you will become the proud owner of one of the finest custom homes in the western suburbs.
